#561 Carlos de la Torre: Mexican Coffee Producers and the Pandemic
Please note, this was intented to be the final episode of the series but it went for 40 minutes so the episode was split into two parts and there will be one more episode in this series with Carlos de la Torre.
This is the 5th installment of a 6-episode series with Carlos de la Torre, owner of multiple coffee small businesses in Mexico City, Mexico, including cafes, roastery's, and a coffee subscription service. Carlos was also the Mexican National Barista Champion multiple times and competed and won other coffee competitions throughout his career.
In this series, we'll be discussing how the Mexican coffee industry, particularly producers, has changed since March 2020 across the entire value chain.
In this episode, Carlos gives us insight into how he observed the Mexican coffee industry react across the supply chain when the Pd'ic hit in March 2020 and the months that followed it.
